In addition to teaching in beautiful Bucks County, I'm also happy to travel to you & teach workshops & classes on a wide variety of subjects, ranging from lectures on my personal experiences "Working in the Haute Couture" to advanced draping demonstrations like "Radical Free Draping™", "Draping in Mid Air" or "Tension & Suspension Systems" to half day or multi-day hands-on workshops such as the "Brilliant Bias" or "Custom Corsetry" - Busk-Front Back-Laced Corsets

A partial list of class offerings is listed below. If you are a college or sewing organization designing a fashion conference or an intense fashion weekend for your group, you may select several of the half day lectures, trunk shows, demos & workshops to run on a single day and consider adding a Power Point slide show for the opening night of the weekend with cocktails or desserts & coffee to kick off the weekend in style and give your attendees
a chance to show off their skills by wearing their own creations to the party/lecture.

DESCRIPTION: My personal experiences working on the Paris Haute Couture collections & NYC Ready-To-Wear collections for the celebrated American designer Ralph Rucci on his Chado Ralph Rucci lines. I tell stories from the workroom, show images of fabulous clothes & even share which specific garments on which I worked.

DESCRIPTION: Learn to make your own creative flat patterns using thinking & problem solving styles rarely taught in American Fashion Schools. This workshop gets you using the concepts from the lecture in your own creative pattern making projects.

CLASS NAME: Fine Corsetry in the Haute Couture
CLASS TYPE: Trunk Show/Lecture

DESCRIPTION: Fine corsetry’s a hallmark of the Haute Couture Designer’s work even when invisible. I’ll reveal 3 types of corsetry I’ve identified while working in the Haute Couture & teaching graduate degree classes in corseted eveningwear.

CLASS NAME: Fine Corsetry in the Haute Couture 2-Day
CLASS TYPE: 2-Day Workshop
LENGTH: 2 days - 9 hours each
DESCRIPTION: My shortest workshop on corsetry. Working from measurements provided or student’s own, each participant drafts a corset pattern & tests it in muslin. Teacher demonstrates how internal structures function & give options/reasons for selecting them. Students try out a variety of steps to understand their usefulness.

CLASS NAME: Fine Corsetry in the Haute Couture 4-Day
CLASS TYPE: 4-Day Workshop
LENGTH: 4 days - 9 hours each
DESCRIPTION: Corset heaven! Working from measurements provided or student’s own, each participant drafts a corset pattern, tests in muslin & cuts it in fine cloth. After demonstrations on internal structures, students start constructing their corsets. Many students can nearly finish their corset within the 4 day class.

Costs & Travel Arrangements - Since 2003, my travel teaching price per day has been $1,000. This includes teaching a full six hour class with 1 hour lunch break and a 3 hour evening class or lecture/reception. 3 hour single classes scheduled alone on a day are billed at $500. All costs for travel (flights, car rentals or driving & hotel room booking or hosting) are paid by the hosting group. I am happy to be accomodated in a member's guest room to save your group hotel fees.
