Service Description
Watercolor techniques have been loved by artists and viewers for thousands of years. Learning the techniques can be tricky without the guidance of a master painter. In this class Scott Hanna, award winning artist whose paintings have been collected & published by two of the worlds biggest art publishers, will share historic & new methods in painting with watercolors. Techniques will include Asian brushwork, painting wet-on-wet, drybrush, spongework, masking, spatter, layering colors, glazing, and more. Each week instructor Scott Hanna will start the class with expert demonstrations guiding the class in experimentation with the medium and then assist students in trying it out. By end of class, each student will be working on a landscape or figurative study using the day’s techniques. BRING TO CLASS: light sketching pencils, watercolor set (any brand), soft, flexible watercolor brushes in a variety of sizes, watercolor pad or block, paint palette with mixing trays, roll of paper towels. This class meets at the artist's studio - 595 Summit Lane, Riegelsville PA 18077
